Frequently Asked Questions
What is AffiliateWP used for?
AffiliateWP lets a business run its own affiliate program on a WordPress site, tracking referrals and coupon codes, calculating commissions and paying affiliates without a third-party network.
Which platforms does AffiliateWP work with?
It connects with WooCommerce, Easy Digital Downloads and WP Simple Pay for sales, form builders such as WPForms and Formidable Forms, plus membership, LMS and email marketing plugins. The site lists close to 30 one-click ecommerce and form integrations.
Who owns AffiliateWP?
AffiliateWP is part of Awesome Motive, the company behind WPBeginner, WPForms and OptinMonster. It joined Awesome Motive in 2021 along with the other WordPress products from Sandhills Development.
Is AffiliateWP hosted or self-hosted?
It is self-hosted. The plugin runs on your own WordPress site, so affiliate and referral data stays in your database rather than on an outside affiliate network.
